Hi joegen,

Thank you very much. Your reply is exactly what I need.

I have already installed " OpenSBC-1.1.5_RC5-Final-Setup.msi" on WIndows XP,

could you tell me how to configure it in Windows XP OS, for replacing the command #./configure --enable-gpllibs in Unix/Linux?

Brs,

First, you must upgrade your version from CVS. There are a lot of bug fixes since RC1.

In an ideal scenario, "./configure --enable-gpllibs" would enable IP Route 2 support in OSBC which technically provide an automatic mechanism for OpenSBC to detect which NIC is best to reach a certain destination. So luckily you dont have to configure anything to make a multihomes setup work. If this does not work, you need to help opensbc determine the correct interface by providing interface routes in SIP-Transports.

Hi joegen,

Thank you for getting your help so quickly!

Now I know that IPV6 is not supported in this version. Here is my another question.

In IPV4 networks, can OSBC 1.1.5 be installed onto a machine with two network card?

The following shows the dual card OSBC, one IP address is 172.16.0.11, which is the contact point for the clients to access;

another is 123.127.237.11, which is used to communicate with my SIP Server.

Does OSBC support this scenario? If yes, how to configure?　Thank you!
OpenSBC 1.1.8 is none existent. I have already removed the old roadmap to avoid the confusion. The current version is 1.1.6 and the general thrust of this version is to harden it without intorducing new features. To answer your next question, OpenSBC is not capable yet of IP6 and thus cant be used as an IP4 to IP6 gateway. Sorry.

Hi all,

I have studied OpenSBC and OpenSipStack for about a week. I think I need more information to make it work well for my study.

Cause I have several questions about OpenSBC to ask you. Your reply and suggestion will be very useful and appreciated.

1. Can I get OpenSBC 1.8?
I find in the roadmap that OpenSBC 1.8 has been released on 2008, but I
just find version 1.1.5-RC5-Final is available for download. How can I
get the latest OpenSBC? Or I just misunderstand that?

2.How to configure the dual network cards for OpenSBC?
I had developed a prototype of SBC in 2007, it is very simple, just for
NAT and IPV4-IPV6 inter-communication. So, it is installed on a machine
that has dual network cards. I have looked over the configuration items
and I don't know how to configure the IP address for the dual cards. Am
I miss something on the website?

I am looking for your reply and thank you very much!
