Asterisk + OpenSBC

Hi,

Would just like to understand more about SBC (specifically OpenSBC), i have an asterisk realtime setup, but i usually have issues on NAT.
Sometimes users registers to my asterisk with different port rather than the port that was set to the phone.

e.g. an IP phone behind NAT i setup the port to 5061, so 192.168.1.10:5061 but on the asterisl i can see it as 202.202.202.202:49923.
but when the UDP mapping between port 49223 to port 5061 breaks, that user is now unreachable.

will OpenSBC be able to help on this kind of issues? can the SBC tell the asterisk server how to properly reach the users behind NAT?

TIA

Regards
Ron

Hi Nhadie,

Yeah OpenSBC can fix your NAT Problem. Have your IP phone register at OpenSBC and route the call to your asterisk BOX. There are lots of Discussion here regarding OpenSBC and Asterisk.

What are you trying to accomplish? Can you describe to us your deployment scenario?
