weird problem

Hi Joegen,

For the past weeks we have deployed remote sip clients for our mobile employees (linksys pap2). Everything seems to be working fine except for this one. When this Linksys Pap2 tries to register it will hit OSBC but wont create an AOR. It would just flush it out. I will be attaching the logs made by this device. I hope this would be enough to investigate on the issue.

Thanks,

Oliver

Re: weird problem

Oliver,

OSBC flushing the registration after a 401 is received is normal course of action because it is considered as a registration failure. Upon re-Registration with credentials, and asterisk sends 200 OK, that is the time OSBC would commit the registration. I have already asked you what happens to your UA after it gets the 401, it just keep silent? If that is the case, then there must be something wrong with the 401, right? But I dont see anyhting wrong with the 401 so there is something really weird that is happening with this UA. I know it is most often impossible to elevate bug reports to the vendor of the UA but it seems that is the only option if you really want to get into the bottom of this.

Joegen

Re: weird problem

hi oliver,

sorry for the late reply. things have been extreme here in manila for the past few days. anyway, it seems that the UA invloved in the call is not using a valid private address? This would confuse opensbc and would attempt to send directly.

Yes I am a Filipino. Solegy has an office here in Manila. Good to hear you got it working. Perhaps we can meet for coffee one time.

We have an office along Edsa in Mandaluyong. I stay in Ortigas center. Let me know if you happen to be nearby.
